WCID History
Lake McQueeney Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 is a conservation and reclamation district of the State of Texas organized and operating as a water control and improvement district under Chapters 49 and 51 of the Texas Water Code.
On November 3rd, 2020 the voters of the Lake McQueeney Water Control and Improvement District #1 overwhelmingly approved the creation of the WCID #1. The initial primary focus of this WCID has been necessary dam repairs. FOLM is a separate entity from the WCID; however, we have worked closely together to keep residents informed on ways to protect their property, trees, and land during the lowering and pending refill of the lake. For more information on the WCID Board members, meeting agendas and dates, updates on dam repairs and WCID priorities, you can check out their website.
