Anyone interested in maintaining and improving the quality of Lake McQueeney is encouraged to join FOLM (Friends of Lake McQueeney). Your membership is very important to underwrite projects and sustain our united and well-represented voice on matters concerning Lake McQueeney.

Current Projects Include
PLANT AND STUMP REMOVAL
In preparation for the water refill, we are removing stumps and plants that have grown in public lakebed areas while water levels are down.
DEBRIS REMOVAL
FOLM will coordinate removal of debris and safety hazards from public areas of the lake.
COMMUNICATION CAMPAIGNS
We educate all lake residents of their roles and responsibilities to ensure the safety and use of our lake is maximized.
STATE AGENCY COLLABORATION
FOLM makes sure lake residents' voices are heard at the state and make sure the state's regulations and updates are communicated to residents.
MONITORING INVASIVE SPECIES
We conduct regular checks of invasive wildlife and plant life in order to maintain balance of our lake's ecosystem.
PROTECTING OUR TREES
FOLM regulary collaborates and consults with arborists to issue tree preservation guidelines and commuications.
RETAINING WALL SUPPORT
From flooding to lowered water levels, we support you with proper information to ensure protection of your retaining walls.
CONTROLLING ACCESS
Since Lake McQueeney doesn't have public boat ramps or access, we collaborate with local authorities to monitor and respond to access concerns.
